Rule and playing condition amendments

The rules and playing conditions have been updated on the website and in the handbook.  Changes underlined.  Important ones to note:

A team (of 8 players) not at the ground 15 minutes before scheduled start time will forfeit the toss.

A team not ready to begin the game by the scheduled start time will forfeit 2 batting overs for every 5 minutes (or part) until they are ready to start.

None of a club's star players will be able to play for a lower team.

Twenty20 competitions player eligibility has been tightened - see Playing Condition 16.

There were minor amendments to Rule 8 and Playing Condition 2 made at the Spring Meeting.  These have been updated on the website.

The League needs more umpires to officiate in Division One.  If you are interested or know somebody who would like to umpire in the League, please contact Philip Emanuel on 01372 465445.  For information about umpires courses see the umpires page.
